421 Misdirected Request

421 Misdirected Request is a series that explores the interconnection between human self-perception and artificial interpretation.

The aim of the work is to explore how humans see themselves vs how they see others, and how/if an AI’s interpretation of our descriptions affects our own image of self. Sixteen participants were photographed and asked to describe themselves, and each other, then AI software was used to interpret and recreate these described people.

The result… a whole lot of portraits.
